Multiple Base Setup in a DuraFon PRO Telecom System
Multiple Base Setup in a DuraFon PRO Telecom System
Updated over a week ago

Line capacity can be increased by adding additional base units. Each base has (4) RJ11 analog ports. Up to 8 base units are supported with a PRO system for supporting up to (32) lines.

Separation of the base stations of at least 3 feet apart is recommended if the factory antennas are used on the base stations. If external antennas are used, the external antennas need to at least 3 feet apart from each other. If external antennas are used, the bases themselves can be right next to each other.

Also keep base stations at least 3 feet apart from other electronic equipment.

Note: Telephone calls cannot be handed off between base units.

Here are the steps in adding bases:

1. Register all handsets to the main base. Base ”00” is a primary base. All handsets must register only on Base “00”. Click on the link below on how to register a handset to a base.

2. To add an additional base station:

a.) Press REG button on new Base.

b.) Use Handset 10 or 11 to add base : Press MENU 8, 1.

c.) Enter 01~07 (Base ID).

d.) Repeat, as needed, to add base units.

Example: 8 bases and 32 dedicated handsets to extensions.

(Note) – After bases have been added, the next step is to line dedicate ports using handset 10 or 11. See xyz link on how to line dedicate ports to specific handsets so each handset has its own extension (as shown below).
