How to resolve Incompatible firmware version error on EWS controller?

    Had the same problem. Manually updated the aps and now can’t manage them. They won’t connect. Thankfully they still work, but can not access their control functions. Help!

    That seems so long ago! Had to email a tech volunteer to ask how he resolved it, this is what he said, which kind of means not a great answer, but got things working I guess...

    I remember that we had to factory reset everything (the controller/switch and all of the AP’s). Then upgrade the firmware on everything, and then finally re-configure everything. Once reconfigured, we could not allow the switch to be the controller anymore – all of the AP’s had to run as individual units which stinks.

          Yes that sounds terrible. I ended up installing ezMaster on a virtual box and it was able to auto-discover and manage all ap's without the controller. It was frustrating. Thanks for the response!

    After being prompted and agreeing to the update, the dialog box disappears and nothing happens.
