Powering an 802.3af device through the PoE output port of the EWS860AP access point.

Yes, the secondary LAN port of the EWS860AP is an 802.3af PSE output port as well as a data port. It can be used to power 802.3af PoE devices such as 802.3af compatible IP cameras. The secondary LAN port cannot power 802.3at devices.

 

To ensure proper operation, please use the EnGenius EPE-48GR PoE injector that comes with the EWS860AP.
